The fish are the goddess Aphrodite and her son Eros (Roman: Venus and Cupid). They turned themselves into fish in order to escape from the monster Typhon. They then connected themselves together with a ribbon in order not to be separated.

Los peces representan a la diosa Afrodita y a su hijo Eros (en la mitología romana: Venus y Cupido). Se transformaron en peces para poder escapar del monstruo Tifón. Durante la huida, se unieron el uno al otro con una cinta para asegurarse de no quedar separados.
